Renovating Our Campus for More
Over the last number of years, two significant factors have continued to present themselves as formidable hindrances to retaining people well and helping them connect with others easily – (1) the sound quality in the Father’s House (being too loud, too muffled or with harsh frequencies, depending on where you sit) and (2) the lack of functional space to linger, hang-out, connect, discover and nurture community (with our foyer being insufficient when combined with our inadequate and hard-to-find hospitality area). As a result, it is not uncommon for our church leadership to hear that people “can’t handle the sound” or “can’t find relationships” on and beyond Sundays. This dynamic works against the very mission and vision of our congregation.
After much prayer and processing with our Church Council and denomination and months of development with our architect, contractor and city agencies, we proposed plans to renovate our campus to our Partnership this past Sunday night (1.6.19), as directed by our denomination, allowing those present to each vote to either affirm moving forward on renovations, or not. With 93% of the votes indicating "yes", we will be taking next steps to initiate the planned campus renovations (the details of which our described in the audio and presentation slides provided on this page).
