PROJECT SCV | MAKING A TANGIBLE IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITY

What if impacting the world was as simple as reaching out, just up the street? Well, it might be that simple. Or at least it can start there.

The Sanctuary has been, and will continue, throughout the year to support specific events and projects with our finances, our abilities and our time. Projects and partnerships include Adopt-a-Highway, Valley View Elementary, Golden Valley High School, Park Sierra Apartments (Canyon Country), The Village Apartments (Newhall), Single Mother's Outreach, LARC Ranch, homeless students, and more. We are continually looking for ways to come alongside communities in need within the Santa Clarita Valley to make a genuine difference.

ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY | 2018

The Sanctuary has adopted portions of the 14 freeway as part of the CalTrans Adopt-A-Highway program! Volunteers, ages 16 and older, are invited to be a part of our special team caring for this part of our community.

PARK SIERRA SPRING EVENT | 2018

In March we gave our finances and our time to help the Park Sierra Apartment complex host a spring event for residents, many of who are facing challenges socioeconomically, while living in an area of the valley that has experienced higher incidents of crime.

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS | VALLEY VIEW SPECIAL EDUCATION

Hear from Special Education Teacher, Belinda Huelin about the variety of needs they have at Valley View that no amount of government funding can provide.

SULPHUR SPRINGS PANTRY | 2018

In July we came alongside the Sulphur Springs School District to help launch a new Resource Center that will assist the students and families of the 9 area elementary schools in our local community facing a poverty rate that has sky-rocketed over 59% in the past year. We gave our finances and purchased items towards the on-site pantry.

VALLEY VIEW SUMMER BASH | 2015

A quick look back at another successful year-end carnival at Valley View Community School. Looking forward to many more!

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS | CHRISTMAS 2014

In 2014 we sponsored over a dozen families at Valley View who were in need during the holidays. It included a Christmas turkey, a fully decorated tree and toys for their children. This is the story of the Bashan family.

VALLEY VIEW SUMMER BASH | 2014

The Sanctuary through Project SCV is partnering with Valley View Community School to host the Valley View Summer Bash on June 7th, 2014. Here's a little bit from the parents and the faculty on why this is such a huge deal for this school "across the street."
