kids birth - 6th grade
At CHAMPS, the kid's ministry at The Sanctuary, we partner with parents to help instill a life-long faith in kids. We have developmentally specific environments for every kid birth-6th grade.
On Sundays kids 3 years-6th grade have a weekly small group leader, hear engaging storytelling, worship with a live band, play fun activities and parents are sent home with resources to engage their kids in faith conversations during the week.
Safety is our top priority. All of our volunteers are background checked and trained on our extensive Kid's Ministry policies (download our Kid's Ministry volunteer handbook to read our policies).

Community Groups are small diverse groups of people that get together once a week to share a meal, have some fun, discuss their faith journeys and how they can help those in need. Each group is led by a team with a leader, a host and a communicator. Look at the groups below, see where you might fit and take a step to deeper relationships.

Women ages 18 & up
Women ages 18 & up
Women of all ages, celebrating the feminine heart by sharing real life together, fully embracing God's love and truth.
Women are usually too busy taking care of everyone else and not themselves. The “tug-of-war” between responsibilities, family and relationships pulls in all directions. So many women work full-time, both in and out of the home, creating a need for renewal. If any of this describes you, we think it's time for change!
In Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, “Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest.”Women are in need of rest. If this describes you, please plan to join us each year for our annual women’s retreat. The teaching topics and venues may vary from year to year, but the outcome is always the same: you go home ready to tackle your life once again.
Contact Pastor Debbie Walker at 661.252.7255 x303 or email her.

Men’s ministry at The Sanctuary is about being UNCOMMEN. The stats don't lie, the common man spends a lot of time chasing the urgent over the important and consuming fantasy over investing in what matters.
It's time to come together to be UNCOMMEN... and discover the pathway to winning in the most important areas of our lives.
Bringing support in difficult times and celebrating with you in the good ones.
Life is crazy -- sometimes amazing and difficult at others. Through the ups and downs of birth and death, marriage and divorce, relational health and brokenness, promotions and lay-offs, the trials and victories of our lives hit us all in different ways. But in one thing we are the same. We all need help.
For some, it's the guidance needed to navigate marital conflict or addiction. For others it's the community that rallies to prepare meals when a loved one passes away or when you welcome that new little one into this world. And yet for others still it's a box of food to carry you through to that next paycheck when employment becomes scarce.
The Bible guarantees that we will face difficult times, but that Jesus is our hope, our peace and our victory in them (John 16:33).
At The Sanctuary we strive to be a safe place no matter what season you find yourself in. For more information please contact our pastor of Care Ministries, Jen Lord, as we want to make sure you have every opportunity available to endure your storm with grace, peace and in the the community we were made for.

Bringing help and hope to senior adults
At The Sanctuary, we care about senior citizens. We strive to partner with the families of aging senior adults in our community, and more specifically our church family, to help meet the practical needs of maturing men and women. This often forgotten group of adults receives the care they need, through visitations, phone calls, assistance and connection to valuable resources.
For more information or questions please email Pastor Debbie at or call the church office 661-252-7255 ext. 303.

Worship. As humans we can't help but worship something. A hobby, a celebrity, a significant other, even our families can become idols in our lives. Our culture is full of worship and we believe that it's no mistake that much of our worship is focused on the "artists." At The Sanctuary our Worship Arts ministry aims to keep the focus on the only One worthy of worship -- the One who gave us art as an expression.
Though our most frequent expression of worship as a congregation is through music, we believe that God created the "Arts" for His glory. In centuries past paintings of all sizes and styles were commissioned by the Church to draw people's eyes off themselves and focus them on the One who is greater. In our modern society, the tools have expanded and the expressions as a result have done so as well, but whether it's a video camera, a guitar, an actor, a virtual paint brush or a real one, we believe God is calling the Arts back from the world... to the Church.
If you're an artist of any sort, there are plenty of opportunities to serve God with your gift. Our Worship Arts ministry includes media, music and theatre/film with chances to serve seasonally or even on a monthly or weekly basis. If you're interested let us know and we'll be in touch with more details on how you can get involved.

Dan Suess
We are a food-sharing ministry at The Sanctuary to help meet the food needs first within the community, both at our church and around Santa Clarita. We make this possible by collecting, transporting, storing and distributing the food donated by the congregation.
Community Care was started and is maintained by people attending, partnering and faithfully giving at The Sanctuary. It is this partnership that allows a ministry like this to THRIVE, as Community Care continues to provided practical resources (food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.) to families in and outside of our congregation.
Dan Suess is the man in charge and the one who helped start this amazing, practical outreach and source of provision for many at and around The Sanctuary. Email him if you would like more information.
