When was the last time someone asked you about your faith?
For our upcoming Outdoor Movie Night we’ll be enjoying Disney’s Big Hero 6 on the big screen under the stars. In the movie, robotics nerd Hiro Hamada discovers an inflatable health care robot Baymax created in the past by his older brother, Tedashi. After a terrible life-changing accident, Hiro and Baymax team up with four other nerds to save their hometown San Fransokyo from an evil super villain trying to take over with Hiro’s invention.
So you might be asking, what does a kid, a marshmallow robot and an evil super villain have to do with church?
I hope we get deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper. But more than that I hope we allow God to make us fishers… and I hope we never forget that all of us were fish once. I hope that we never forget that somebody had the boldness to come to us and talk about a relationship with Christ because they understood that followers fish!
As I considered what to pray for, a friend came to mind who has been in my prayers for several months. Not only did I pray that God would draw this man to the cross, but I also asked for boldness and opportunity to share.
Each of us, whether we realize it or not, or see it this way or not, or agree with it or not, every single one of us is perfectly positioned in someone’s life to be a fisher. If we’re not looking, and if we’re not asking God, and if we’re not making ourselves available, we’ll sleep through it...

As Pastor Marty shared this past Sunday on the story of Peter and John in Acts chapter 4, the thing that struck me most was the power of their story. They had been with Jesus. They had "seen" things and "heard" things that blew people away in those days. And all I could do was think to myself, "Dang. I hope I get to see God do stuff like that."
