“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness.” - Isaiah 58:10

Few things are so essential to our walk with God, and our call to be more like Jesus than taking care of the needs of the poor, the widow and the orphan. What better way for us to show the love of Jesus than to do just as Jesus did in feeding them. It is for the purpose of meeting these needs in our community, that the Sanctuary formed Community Care.

Community Care is the food ministry here at the Sanctuary. Community Care was formed about 5 years ago and its purpose is to provide food for people in various places of need. Food is provided through the generous donations from our community here at the Sanctuary, and the food boxes that we receive in out partnership with Stephen’s Storehouse. These donations have helped feed thousands of people over the last half-decade, both people from our church and other people from within our community with by means of our bi-monthly food distributions after our 9 AM and 11 AM services.

Food donation bags and collection baskets have been place near both of our campus entryways to remind us as we come in and as we go out, that we are called to feed the hungry. Your much-needed donations of cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned meat, chicken, tuna, soup, vegetables, beans, pasta, spaghetti sauce and canned fruit have been greatly appreciated.

Over the past 5 years, many dedicated volunteers from the Sanctuary Church have given of their time and talents to make community care successful. Thank you for your past generosity and your continued support of this important ministry. If you are interested in joining us in this ministry, please sign up here.
