They aren’t legends. They are real. They truly exist… volunteers… in the sound booth.

Each Sunday these valiant souls show up early and leave late to help run sound, lights, and visuals.

Despite their mythic status and their behind-the-scenes roles, if you happen to pay attention you may have noticed a new face in the sound booth on Sundays. That new face belongs to Mandi Bryant, our Worship Arts Intern!

Perhaps you regularly attend our 5PM service, and you realize the ridiculousness of the above scenario considering Mandi has been playing with our worship team on stage for several weeks. Nonetheless the above scene highlights a little of what she does as an intern.

Mandi (21) hails from the Antelope Valley area. She recently began her sophomore year at Life Pacific College working towards her BA in a Worship Arts & Media track.

Prior to joining us, Mandi attended Highlands Christian Fellowship, a sister Foursquare Church in Palmdale for 11 years. While at Highlands, she served in various worship teams and in their AVL and Drama ministries as well.

When she isn’t working on homework or working at the church, Mandi likes to spend time with friends and time in the natural world. Her love for the outdoors and her love the majesty of the universe both serving as areas of recreation while remaining rooted in her love for worship.

Though Mandi was familiar with The Sanctuary through regional camps, she got connected through Pastor Brandon. Once we found out she would be heading to LPC looking to serve in Worship Arts, we jumped at the opportunity partner with her in ministry.

For Mandi, worship is something she has always done, her natural abilities and call to vocational ministry have led her to this point. She loves worship because it has been so central to her walk with Jesus. All people worship, and all faith is rooted in our worship of God.

As such, her internship will involve assisting in the various aspects of Worship and Media, from playing on stage, to leading a worship team, to running audio/visual and all of the aspects, both spiritual and physical that lay the foundation for worship and ministry. She will partner with the pastoral staff as she continues.

As part of our church family We look forward to all God is going to do through her and in her as Mandi makes The Sanctuary her new church home!
