With the most recent Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage, as a church, we feel it is necessary to state our posture and stance on this ruling. We have also added a series that was taught by Pastor Marty in 2008 and another taught by Pastor Jonathan in 2010. They are available below, as well as a download of what our heart is on homosexuality.

The Sanctuary’s call, first and foremost, is to be ambassadors of Truth and reconcilers of Love. As such, we stand for biblical absolutes, including the summons to love to wholeness those who have been broken by sin. Regarding homosexuality, the Bible is neither silent nor ambiguous. It defines all expressions of sexual intimacy outside the bonds of heterosexual marriage as immoral. Keeping this in its context, we do not believe homosexuality is deserving of greater disapproval than any other sexual sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). At the same time, we believe those involved in homosexuality do not deserve targeted condemnation, as the Word of God states, “No one is righteous—not even one” (Romans 3:10). Most importantly, we believe Jesus did not come to condemn anyone, but to redeem and free ALL humanity from EVERY form of bondage, sexual or otherwise.
