"Our lives are a ministry." The way we smile, laugh or cry, that which is in our head, our heart, and our physical ability- all of it has the potential for ministry.

Freedom Ministries Are you convinced no one really cares? Do you feel you are unloved? Do you have difficuly trusting? Do you feel rejected easily? Do you have anger problems? The power of God’s Word is here to set the prisoner free. Jesus came that we would not just have life, but life abundantly. Generational curses, soul ties and spiritual inheritances are holding many Believers from the freedom provided to them at the Cross. Come and find out what God’s Word has to say regarding your life. Come to understand how much God loves and cares for you! The Freedom Ministry is not a Bible study, though we study the Bible. It is not a worship meeting, though we worship when we meet. It is not a prayer meeting, though we will pray at each gathering. Large segments of the Body of Christ carry unhealed wounds, and/or remain in bondage. This fact greatly hinders the extension of God’s kingdom on earth. These brothers and sisters need their wounds healed. Many are also in bondage to the powers of darkness often unknown to them, and need to be set free. The Sanctuary desires to partner with our wounded brothers and sisters. We believe The Freedom Ministry has been given, by the Lord, as one avenue for healing and releasing God’s children. God promises, He will not crush those who are weak or quench the smallest hope. (ISA 42:3) You will discover the hope found only in Jesus. If you have unhealed wounds and are in need of the renewing power of God’s Spirit, this time is for you. This ministry meets for seven weeks at designated times throughout the year. Check with The Welcome Center or the church office for schedules. INTEGRATE Young Adults Connect to Reflect You can find them as they gather in coffee shops, restaurants, the gym, bookstores and other points of interest all over the Santa Clarita Valley. Young adults are everywhere. Despite this, young adults don’t feel welcome inside the walls of the church. This needs to change! As a young person graduates from high school, they go off to college or get into the full-time-job market. It is here, in the real world where the life of the young adult is turned upside down! They are not really youth anymore, but they are not quite adults either. (It sure sounds a lot like the transition from Jr. High to Sr. High school… only now they can drive!) Change is the buzzword of the day as they are faced with the realities of bills, relationships, opportunities and responsibilities, all of which cause their heads to spin as they try to figure out what happened to them in the months and years following high school. While all this is going on, young adults are making the most important life-changing decisions they will ever face: school, degree, career, work, and the possibility of a “forever” future with a spouse, children and a car payment and mortgage. The scenario is no different for the Christian young adult. Close to seventy percent, after being raised in the church, drop out of church while making all the same decisions. Here is where INTEGRATE comes in - gathering Christian young adults who are attempting to stay focused on the goal set before them . . . “integration” through community. With the support of other believers, young adults are choosing to integrate into: (1) a deeper relationship with Christ, (2) an understanding of God’s plan for their lives, (3) their role in the worldwide community of believers and (4) life at The Sanctuary! Through teaching, worship, fellowship (while sipping espresso drinks) and nights out on the town, young adults are finding the support they need to face the harsh reality of being all grown up! It’s not all serious though! With opportunities to vacation together for a week of skiing and wakeboarding on the Stockton Delta and snowmobiling in Lake Tahoe, our young adults are integrating while having a blast! INTEGRATE meets the first and third Friday of every month at 7:30pm in the Hospitality Room & Father's House (Bldg. B). INTEGRATE is for single adults aged 18-25. See the calendar portion of our website for dates and times. Questions? Email Integrate Girls Like Me Women's Ministries Life Groups How can I connect with others when my life is so full? The busyness of life wars against the very thing I so desire. Between our crowded commute, 10 hour work days, multiple youth sports practices per week, recreational activities, serving at church, caring for the home, quality time with the family, and saying “Hi” to an occasional neighbor, there is simply little time and no energy “left-over” to pursue true community with others. In the end, I’m so much like everybody else, with the exception of that darn commute. I’m chronically busy and chronically insecure. First, I have so many things to do. And second, I often do them without all the possible risks that come with building relationships. A question we must all ask ourselves at some point is, “Why should I pursue community with others when I’m so busy ‘doing-what’s-gotta-be-done’ to ‘get-where-I-gotta-go’?” The answer I’m learning, is the destination isn’t the point, the journey is! I may have to let go of some of my intended “destinations” in order to enjoy the journey. This Winter, enjoy the journey! No doubt you will need to say, “No” to a few tasks that beckon your constant attention in order to allocate the time. It will be well worth it. Remember, we are better together! We were designed for relationship; first with God, then with others. We will never reach our potential alone. It will only happen as we know and are known by others. Life Groups are about community. Life Groups develop friendships with people along a common interest so one another’s lives are strengthened. Life Groups are places for us to process life together. This trimester of Life Groups offers opportunity for each of us to live differently. The opportunity can easily be missed because of our busy lives. We can let some tasks go undone and take time to build community. We'll be better for it! Others will be better for it! Take some time to look through this directory of Life Groups. I’m sure you’ll find a place to build community. Maybe next trimester you’ll lead one and provide a place for others to develop community. False ADVANCE Men's Ministries Men Moving Forward Men's ministry at The Sanctuary is about advancing. The ability to move forward is the ability to survive in this life. With everything around us rapidly changing, from technology to the economy, the necessity to advance grows increasingly more important. One of the greatest changes in our country has taken place with the role of the man in the home, church, and business. Men of ALL ages are attacked on ALL sides to succumb to the power of unfaithfulness . . . to their God, to their identity as a man, to their family, and to their dreams, abilities and passions. Culturally, men prioritize possessions, position and prominence. Often integrity and character have been sold out to a quick fix, “look good” mentality. As The Sanctuary, we strive to have the Word of God (the Bible) define who we are and what we do. We are consistently advancing by:
Every other month the men of The Sanctuary advance together at corporate gatherings where a priority is placed on allowing the truth of the Word to shape us and moving together in strong, victorious worship while growing in relationship with other men. We enjoy laughing together and have an unwritten belief, “the better fed, the better led.” Throughout the year the men realign with their identities by participating in activities including: paintball, backpacking, etc. See the calendar portion of our website for dates and times. Girls Like Me Women's Ministries Women are usually too busy taking care of everyone else and don't take care of themselves. The “tug-of-war” between responsibilities, family and relationships pulls them in all directions. So many women are employed full-time, both inside and outside the home. All these responsibilities have created a woman in need of renewal. If any of this describes you, we think it's time for change! Women's ministry at The Sanctuary has something special just for you. Come take part in Girls Like Me, for a time of laughter, fellowship, and spiritual renewal - real women sharing real life. We offer something special - for someone special. After our time together, you’ll leave encouraged and refreshed. Opportunities of camaraderie and friendship are in store for you during times of brunches, practical teaching, and prayer as well as other social activities around town like bowling and ice-skating. The teaching topics may vary from gathering to gathering, but the outcome is always the same: you go home ready to tackle your life once again. Our goal is to provide a safe place for women to meet, share, and "live our faith" together. We can see the value and power that comes from living in real community. The friendships you make here are the friendships you can rely on when you get back into the “trenches” of responsibility. Remember: serious things can happen when you're having fun! They believe in order to intercede, they must understand and speak another language filled with perfect words and quoted scripture. In reality prayer and intercession is much less AND much more! The word intercession is defined by several words and terms: it simply means to ask God for intervention or mediation, to come between and stand in the gap for burdens and circumstances of life occurring in our world or the Kingdom of God. The job description of an intercessor is just as varied. Intercessors understand the power of the Word and the Cross of Jesus, as they call on God to act on behalf of mankind and specific situations. Intercessors seek the help of the Holy Spirit as they pray. They ask for God’s will to be done in the lives of His children and creation. Intercessors expect the Holy Spirit to speak. They listen and prayer to the heart of our Father God and pray accordingly. Intercessors know the tactics of the Devil, our enemy, and they deal with those schemes with the Sword of the Spirit. (God’s Word) Intercession delights our Father God and, though it is sometimes hard work, it is rewarding! Call the church office if you would like more details on this powerful ministry. CHAMPS Children’s Ministries Winning Kids For Life Jesus told us we could learn a lot about the Kingdom of God by looking at life through the eyes of a child. We believe in the next generation! We hope you do too! We have a lot of room, for infants through elementary school. For The Sanctuary, it's not just about preserving them for tomorrow, but reaching and releasing them for today. Through Sunday School, Children's Church, Vacation Bible School, Summer Camps, and other annual outreaches, we are passing on to our children the incredible opportunity of walking out their faith with action. Beyond just scripture memory, we desire to see our children begin their ministry as young evangelists. Each week within our CHAMPS Wing we are encouraging and reinforcing biblical values and teachings. We want to “come-along-side” parents and help them raise a godly generation. We take the time each week to prepare and teach age appropriate lessons that are both relevant and applicable to each age group being taught. Scripture tells us the Father is searching for those who will worship him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23) This includes children! We use this opportunity each week to set in their mind and spirit a reverence and joy for worship and prayer. The Sanctuary is a safe place for kids. First, we provide a strong leader to child ratio to ensure proper oversight at all times. Next, we provide oversight on all our playgrounds during services. We also ensure a fast and efficient check-in and check-out system before and after services, to get you and your kids where you should be without holding you up in the process. Our teachers are screened, fingerprinted, and interviewed prior to service in our children's ministry, offering just one more level of safety for you and your family. Join us as we strive to provide an environment where we don't stop at just filling minds, but continue our ministry until we reach hearts. See the calendar portion of our website for dates and times. UTURN Youth Ministries Always Turning For teenagers, the pressure comes from all sides. It tells them to compromise. It takes their lives and their promise, and warps their reality. UTURN wants to change all that with a dynamic vision for ministry to both churched and unchurched youth. UTURN provides a time for your student to bring their friends to a non-threatening place to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ. The atmosphere is welcoming and the language is easy to understand. UTURN Wednesdays are designed around those who do not attend church and don’t know how Christ can turn their lives around. Between the latest in video games, the constant pool-table competition, and the action outside, UTURN is a “full-service” thing! Add to that lots of music, something to grab for dinner, and a ton of people to meet and hang out with, and you’ve got UTURN Wednesdays! UTURN Sundays are all about growth. The teaching is straight ahead and hits the mark landing right where kids are, giving them something they can use. It’s designed more for the youth who is already part of the life of the church, but still comes across in language any teen could grasp. Pile on top of all that good stuff some gooey donuts, and UTURN Sundays are the place to be! Aside from our weekly meetings, UTURN has a lot going on! We have gatherings designed to “narrow it down” for guys, girls, Jr. Highers, High Schoolers, and more. We have yearly camps, paintball excursions, events, missions and outreaches too! See the calendar portion of our website for dates and times. So... are you turning? Check out www.uturning.com Email UTURN Guidance Ministries

It takes the lives and promise of our youth and warps their reality. The Sanctuary wants to change all that! We have Uturn™, and with it comes a vision for dynamic ministry to youth both churched and unchurched. Our Wednesday night ministry provides a time for our youth to bring their friends to a non-threatening place to hear the teaching and Good News of Jesus Christ. This evening is designed around those who do not attend church and do not know the life changing power that comes from surrendering their lives to a loving Father. Our “Library” game room is full of things to do. We supply the newest in video game technology. Our Nintendo, Sony, and Sega game stations are always busy. The “stand-up” favorites of yesteryear have their lines as well. The full-size air hockey and pool table are always a hit. The traditional game of ping-pong keeps the competition fast and furious. Our big screen T.V. plays the hottest in Xtreme videos from dragsters and motocross to surfing and bmx. Add to that, lots of music, a full café with pizza, hot dogs, chips, candy, nachos, soda and a couple of booths and café tables to hang out in and you’ve got Wednesday night Uturn™! Sunday mornings are all about maturing students in the truth of the Bible. The teaching is again straight ahead and hits the mark landing right where kids are giving them practical life application teaching. It is designed more for the youth who is already part of the life of the church. The worship is more “centered” on intimacy with Father God. Youth camps in both the summer and winter provide the perfect getaway. Our guys “Dye’d Inside” paintball team takes to the hills regularly, and Overtime; a youth “homegroup” has kids gathering all year round. Our water ski trips teach youth to ski and wakeboard on our local lakes and are always a sold out hit in the hot summertime. In addition to the regular meetings we also have seasonal outreaches and opportunities for service in the Church, to our community and beyond.
