When red and yellow blend together, they make orange.
Orange is what happens when the influences of the Family and the Church combine in order to make a GREATER IMPACT.
On September 13th CHAMPS is going ORANGE starting with 1st-6th grade…
Goodbye Lectures. Hello Storytelling & Hello Relationship.
We have shared that we are moving to a Large Group/Grade Group format on Sundays. (watch video)
Story is powerful, so kids will hear and see story in Large Group.
Relationship is an anchor that keeps kids in church so kids will learn through discussion and activities with kids in their grade.
We are using a curriculum called 252 Basics, which focuses on instilling these three basic truths throughout all the lessons.
· I need to make the wise choice.
· I can trust God no matter what.
· I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
We are going ORANGE, so that means we are making changes in not just what happens at church, but in the resources we have for you at home. We want to empower you to be the primary voice in your kid’s life.
I have a feeling you want to share God’s truth with your child, but you don’t know where to begin, how to begin or where to begin.
That’s where the Parent Cue comes in.
The Parent Cue will give you an overview of what the kids learned that day during CHAMPS, then it guides you in continuing the conversation at home.
It suggests verses to read your kids at bedtime, music to play in the car and questions to ask at dinner.
By the end of 6th grade, it is our hope to lay a spiritual foundation by having the kids learn 3 basics truths, 30 life apps, through 150 different Bible stories.
As the influences of the church and the family partner together, I believe we will be able to accomplish this.
We are starting with 1st-6th graders on Sundays… but that is just step 1…
But to accomplish it, we need you.
We need 25 new volunteers in September and 50 by the end of the year in order to more effectively reach your kids and the 5,000 kids that do not regularly attend church in Canyon Country.
Looking forward to all that God has for us and our kids...
